Every year we celebrate exceptional people who volunteer for Citizens Advice Hounslow at the Hounslow Volunteers’ Fair and Award Ceremony, as a way to thank them for their invaluable contribution to our service delivery. The awards are usually presented by the Mayor of Hounslow who gives the volunteers a certificate in recognition of their involvement, time and commitmment.
Last year, the awards took place at Hounslow House, the London Borough of Hounslow’s headquarters, where several local voluntary organisations had a stall to promote their volunteering opportunities.
Due to Covid-19 and social distancing rules, this year most face to face events remain closed for eveyone’s safety. Many services are resorting to video platforms to host events remotely. We will update this page with information on the next local volunteering awards ceremony.
Online Citizens Advice conference awards 2020
This year, to recognise the commitment, dedication and resilience that so many have shown in response to the pandemic, the national Citizens Advice has increased the number of awards at their online annual conference on 18 November 2020. Anyone who works or volunteers for their local Citizens Advice, can nominate for the awards. Citizens Advice Hounslow has already sent its nominations.
