Research & Campaign

Research & Campaign Volunteers or Co-ordinators, monitor and analyse the type of problems brough to us by clients. They engage in activity to raise awareness of the problems, their cause and how they affect people, which helps bring about real change by influencing local and national policy. This is a flexible role, which can be partly carried out by volunteers in other roles, such as advisers. It can involve:

  • Collating evidence forms that record information about the problems clients experience
  • Identifying and raising issues both at meetings and in the office
  • Training staff and volunteers in spotting particular issues and completing evidence forms
  • Conducting research and writing reports on local issues
  • Media campaigning and liaising with other Citizens Advice offices and agencies to provide a voice for clients
