Job title: Adviser or Trainee Adviser (5 positions)
Salary: Advisers: up to £27,000 depending on experience, Trainee Advisers: up to £23,000 depending on experience
Hours: 22.5 to 37.5 (Part Time or Full Time)
Location: Home working (option to be office-based in Hounslow)

Citizens Advice Hounslow is a well-established charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting over 10,000 clients a year. We want to expand our capacity for telephone advice; hence we are looking for experienced Advisers or Trainee Advisers with the ability to provide telephone advice to clients through our helplines.

In particular, the role requires you to:

  • conduct a thorough holistic exploration of the problem(s) to gain an accurate picture of the client’s situation
  • do a benefit calculation as standard for clients over the phone
  • give full advice and, if required, make a referral or signpost
  • write up case notes to Citizens Advice national standards

We will consider trainee advisers who have done the adviser training and have been exposed to sufficient generalist work (on route to achieve the adviser certificate or an equivalent qualification).
