Our Trustee Board members are volunteers who use their skills, knowledge and experience to help guide and govern Citizens Advice Hounslow. They work with Aiman Elal, our Chief Executive Officer and other staff to shape strategy and give direction.

I was a student at The Royal Academy of Music for piano. Gaining LRAM (London Royal Academy of Music) – the degree. I joined the Metropolitan Police in 1964 and served on the Flying Squad, Royalty protection and the Serious Crime squad. I left the police in 1974 and entered the banking and insurance arm of a City Merchant bank progressing to an independent financial adviser in 1977 which remains so today. I obtained the following qualifications: Dip FA -Diploma for Financial Advisers; LIBF – London Institute of Banking and Finance. I paint in water colour and the sale proceeds from exhibitions are distributed between specific Registered Charities.

I am a recently retired Compliance Consultant having spent 58 years in financial services. I am also a Metropolitan Police Volunteer with 48 years service to date, working actively with my Police ward. I also sit on Richmond’s Safer Neighborhood Board and sit on, as well as chair, several local committees working with the Police, NHS, Trading Standards etc to educate and improve knowledge about being safe and avoiding scams. I am very proud to be a Trustee of Hounslow CAB whose staff work very hard to provide an excellent local service to residents.

I am the Chair of Addiction Support and Care Agency in Richmond and Kingston and a Trustee of Multicultural Richmond. I was a Former London Assembly Member, Councilor in Richmond and Non-exec Director at Kingston Hospital. I worked for Citizens Advice as a Liaison Manager with London Citizen Advice Bureaux and led on Advice in London health settings. Employed for 29 years by Glaxo SmithKline, Brentford as a Development Manager. Resident of Chiswick in the 1970s.

I have a long standing relationship with Citizens Advice Hounslow and have been a Trustee Board member for some 10 years, in various roles including being Chairman. I also volunteer as an Education Officer with Ealing Orthodox Synagogue providing educational tours for school groups. I am an active member of the Marylebone Jewish Society. I am passionate about cricket and have had the privilege of travelling to many countries to umpire. I am a Member of Association of Cricket Officials, Member of Marylebone Cricket Club and a Member of Surrey County Cricket. Within Hounslow I am an independent Lay Visitor to Hounslow Police Station, Member Hounslow Probus and a Member of Hounslow Friends of Faith.

As a qualified Solicitor, in 2011 I become the head of the largest department in the firm. Thereafter, I became Partner at the firm in 2016. Specialising in Housing Law and has represented tenants, lessees and various London local authorities. I have a particular interest in possession, homelessness, disrepair, unlawful eviction, injunctions and anti-social behaviour cases. I have a passion to help the most vulnerable in society and have considerable experience in all landlord and tenant matters. I also have a wealth of experience in Judicial Review proceedings of decisions by public bodies in the High Court. I am committed to assisting the underprivileged in the community and thrives on achieving the best possible outcomes for my clients.
